In a complex and constantly evolving production environment like the railway industry, optimizing industrialization phases is a crucial challenge to ensure operational continuity, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
PH facility supported Hitachi Rail Italy in a major internal process reorganization, strategically addressing production cycles and operational flows.
Thanks to a structured approach, we helped create a more efficient model, capable of significantly improving overall performance and the use of available resources.
OPTIMIZATION OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES
PH Facility's intervention involved reorganizing the industrialization phases, with the goal of eliminating inefficiencies and minimizing so-called "passive processes" that compromised the performance of individual resources. Through a detailed analysis of operational flows, tools and methodologies were introduced that streamlined work, reduced downtime, and fostered greater continuity between the various production phases.
DEVELOPMENT OF A HARMONIC AND CONTINUOUS CYCLE
The result of this reorganization was the development of a harmonious and continuous production cycle, which improved not only the flow of work but also coordination between departments. The new structure ensured greater predictability and control of activities, with direct effects on overall productivity. Each resource was enhanced according to a more streamlined and high-performance model, capable of effectively responding to the specific needs of each order.
RESPECT FOR TIMELINESS AND SUCCESS OF ORDERS
Thanks to its new operational structure, PH Facility has contributed to fully adhering to the progress and final deliveries scheduled for several strategic Hitachi Rail Italy projects: the Rock regional trains, the ETR 1000 high-speed trains, the HMU hybrid trains, and the Genoa, Naples, and Thessaloniki metro systems. The improved productivity levels have represented a concrete competitive advantage, further strengthening the company's ability to respond to market challenges promptly and reliably.
